Breast cancer surgery can leave lasting physical reminders – scars and loss of your areola. For many women, this can impact how you feel in your body, even long after recovery.
Breast cancer scar camouflage is a restorative, highly personal treatment created to soften the appearance of scarring, and where needed recreate the areola using advanced medical tattooing techniques.
We understand this can feel like a big step – emotionally as well as physically. Everything is done at your pace, in a private and supportive environment, to help you feel more like yourself again.
We offer free Medical Needling, Scar Camouflage and Areola Tattooing to breast cancer survivors. To book this service, please contact us to arrange an initial chat, and from there we can book you in.
How it Works
Start your journey with a free consultation with Colette to review your scarring and create a personalised plan.
We begin with medical needling to improve the texture and appearance of scars and prepare them for scar camouflage.
When your scars are ready, we will carry out scar camouflage sessions to blend your scarring with your natural skin tone.
We carry out areola tattooing to either restore areola colouring or fully reconstruct the areolas with 3D tattooing techniques.
Consultations are mandatory for all treatments – this is because everyones scarring is different. Please message us via our Website, Instagram or WhatsApp and we will send you our online consultation form to complete. From there, we can advise your treatment plan and services required to achieve your desired results. If you would like an in-person consultation, please ask and we are happy to arrange.
Medical Needling, Scar Camouflage and Areola Tattooing are treatments that are carried out over multiple sessions – it is not a one appointment job.
All surgeries must be complete and scars fully healed before we can begin your treatments.
Our aftercare guides are available 24/7 on our website.
Frequently Asked Questions
Most clients describe the sensation as mild scratching rather than pain. Clients who have had surgical procedures tend to feel less as the nerves have been cut during your procedure.
Your surgery scars must be fully healed before treatment begins (usually 12 months). You also must have completed all your medical treatments such as chemotherapy and radiotherapy before we can book you in.
This varies depending on your individual case, but most clients require multiple sessions to build up a natural result. This often looks like 2-3 sessions of Medical Needling, 2-3 sessions of Scar Camouflage, and a final session of Areola Tattooing.
If your surgery has left you with minimal scaring and you only need Areola Tattooing, you won't need the Medical Needling or Scar Camouflage treatments and can go straight in with this.
Clients who have had radiotherapy are more likely to need two Areola Tattooing sessions.
For Medical Needling and Scar Camouflage we advise 6-8 weeks between sessions. And for Areola Tattooing, typically 6–12 weeks, allowing your skin to heal and settle properly before the next session.
Results are long-lasting but may fade over time. Occasional top-ups can help maintain the result.
